Self defence capability

Self defence capability is the background check for the self defence system.

When we assess for SELF DEFENCE CAPABILITY, we look for property and owners to meet these criteria:
(1) . Passive defence capability (fuel bed management)
(2) . Active defence capability (equipment and infrastructure)
(3) . Active defence capability (personnel – knowledge and skill and mental resolve)

If property and owners have SELF DEFENCE CAPABILITY, they have the capability to successfully protect themselves and their assets under severe bushfire attack.
Self defence capability is a major input into the owners’ decision of whether to stay and defend or to leave.
